Hey Brankica,

I thought this insight of yours was HUGE in an understated kind of way . . .

"New visitors who are considering if they should comment will see that you communicate with the readers and they are more likely to comment on the post."

With Facebook, it seems to me that reciprocity is huge - the whole, "I'll comment on and like your posts if you comment and like mine. And I think this is even more significant on Facebook than on blogs.

With blogs, especially mega business focused ones like Copyblogger and such, I believe that people 'get' that there's no way possible for the guru to continue to run their business and sit on every comment that comes in and engage.

But people in Facebook mode don't play by those rules because by in large, those people are spending big hunks of their spare time there and they don't seem to want to want to play with you if you don't play with them.

So thank you for reminding me of this oh-so important lesson and for giving me one more nudge to finally get this plug-in installed. :)

Hey Brankica,

I have read about this plugin and have visited blogs that use thi plugin. I am not so attracted by it. But I must say that using this plugin will certainly improve the exposure for out blog.

I am just doubtful if this plugin will slow down loading of the site! I will try it quite soon.

Cheers,
Jane.

Thanks, Adrienne.
I love this plugin and I just hope the author will update it with an option to receive notifications in your WP dashboard as well as a reply system, so we can use it similar to the default WP commenting system.

I appreciate the nice words and the comment :)

Great post Brankica. Came to Ben's blog and what a pleasant surprise.

I installed this plug-in a couple weeks ago on both of my blogs and found it to be really helpful. I don't think a lot of people are familiar with the benefits of it but you definitely pointed those out nicely for us. Thanks for that. Now when someone asks me, I'll forward them to this post. :-)

Great job Brankica,

Adrienne

Ben & Brankica! Looks like another awesome team-up, guys. I slept on this post so I'm late to the party here. Especially since I just implemented the Facebook Comments the HARD way. Sheesh!

I'm gonna go nab this plugin and do it the easy way now...also I'm gonna go back and comment in the Facebook section just because I can :)

Brankica,

Great post, packed full of usable information - so thanks for compiling that for us. I too see the comments section for Facebook but never really knew how to either make the most of it - or see how it could be good for traffic etc.

Thanks for sharing, and Ben thanks for having her :)

You can actually put them behind the comments. Although, they are ACTUAL comments, you know ;)

At the moment, you can move them below comments manually but the author is developing the plugin more and plans to put the option to be automatic.

Hey cool guest post, I did several tests with and without the plugin (which I have been using for sometime now) and it does load very slow, however it is still a cool plugin to have.

Facebook sends me a ton of traffic, it is now my number one source of traffic to be honest and thats thanks to the feeds I have pulled into my fb.

Facebook is certainly not something to turn your nose up at if you are marketing online, just so long as you capitilize on the traffic you get, know you numbers etc, it can certainly be an excellent free traffic source.
