STDC series soldering iron tips

STDC series soldering iron tips

DESCRIPTION
STDC - Tin removal soldering iron tip

When purchasing MX-500DS, you should choose the most suitable model from the STDC series soldering iron tips below. It has two options for you to choose from: standard and extended. Like all OK soldering iron tips, replacing the STDC soldering iron tip only takes a few seconds and is very convenient. Correctly selecting the model and temperature of the soldering iron tip is crucial for effectively completing through-hole tin removal.

Choose the correct temperature (series)

The STDC soldering iron tip has a particularly long lifespan and is designed to transfer high heat, making it easy to remove tin from multi-layer circuit boards. There are three temperature series (600, 700, and 800 series) for the soldering iron tip of the desoldering gun. A typical circuit board typically requires 700 series soldering iron tips. First, try using the 600 series soldering iron tips for heat sensitive components or small single panels. The 800 series soldering iron tips will enable you to handle the most challenging tasks.

Choose the correct shape

The inner diameter (A) of the selected soldering iron tip should be larger than the diameter of the pins, while the outer diameter (B) should be equivalent to the solder pad.

There are three commonly used sizes for long neck soldering iron tips, which can be used to deal with pins that are difficult to contact.

*When using a long neck soldering iron tip, the 600 series is not suitable for quickly and safely removing components. Therefore, the long neck soldering iron tip is only available in the 700 and 800 series.
